A warm evening with a light breeze made for good conditions and a turnout of 21 starters including a guest rider, Michael Gallagher of the Australian Paralympic team who is in a training camp in Newport. Some good times ridden, our guest doing a very fast 21:45, which included an overshoot and U turn at the Cowbridge slip road. There were good sub-25 times from Graeme Boswell, Sion Jones and Dan Wood. We now have a new series leader, John Chichester with a best average of 27:44 with 5 rides completed but there are a number of others on 4 and 3 rides chasing, including the club’s all-distances TT guru, Toby Hopper. A good turnout saw 17 riders take on the challenging Club 10 course on a dry evening (!) There were good times set by all riders and a couple of TTTs too. Conditions were decent with a moderate westerly headwind on the way out turning into a tail wind on the run back in. There has been a change in the overall standings, with Rob Morgan taking the top spot after having ridden 4 times now. As a reminder, the series is based on your 5 best times so the more you do the better the chance you have.

But, it’s a series of 5 best rides this year, the interim series leader is Bernard, 23 seconds ahead of John Chichester both with 2 rides complete. Continue reading “Club 10 TT’s Latest Results”

This year’s race saw the return of local lad Luke Rowe, fresh from his Team Sky exploits, to show the rest of us how we should ride the R10/16a course at Cwmcarn: the last indeed shall be first in his case with a cracking 20:07 in less than ideal, early season, conditions.
